For visitors who wish to discover the Cathar Castles, they will find Puivert and Lapradelle Puilaurens half an hour away. Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and Montségur are 60 minutes drive.

The lakes of Puivert, Arques and Montbel are ideal for swimming and paddling.

The more active water lovers can take part in rafting, hydro-speed (body surfing down river) and canoeing/kayaking. Mountain sports such as off road biking, climbing and potholing are all to be found in the near vicinity.

Starting from the house are numerous hiking paths going right up to the higher altitudes.

For mystery lovers, the enchanting Rennes-le-Chateau, with its stories and intrigues, is just nearby, with its 'treasure' still to be unearthed!

The Dinosauria at Esperaza, where you can visit the museum and at Campagne sur Aude, the archeological dig, where they found 'Eva', the entire intact skeleton of a dinosaur. At the museum the 6-12 year olds can participate in interactive workshops.

At Limoux, the 'Jardin aux mille et une senteurs de la Bouichère (the garden of a thousand and one scents), with its scented plants, flowers and trees from here and around the world. You will find displays, information and a tea room. You can also purchase some of the plants on display.
